What to Do After Landing at Dalaman Airport: An Area-by-Area Arrival Guide (2026)
A step-by-step guide to what to do at Dalaman Airport, from the moment you leave the plane to the door of your hotel, villa or marina: two terminals, meeting your driver, the waiting rule, drive times to Fethiye, Gocek, Marmaris, Datca, Kas and Kalkan, bus costs, choosing a vehicle and an arrival-day checklist.

Quick answer: After landing at Dalaman Airport (DLM) on an international flight, you pass through passport control, collect your luggage, clear customs and walk to the arrivals exit of the terminal you landed at. If you have booked a private transfer, your driver waits for you at this exit with a Vixride sign showing your name; you get 60 minutes of free waiting time from the actual landing time. In normal traffic, you reach Gocek in about 25 minutes, Fethiye in 45 and Marmaris in 85; all 18 destinations are listed in the table below. The service runs 24/7 and there is no night surcharge.

Arrival in 4 steps: from flight tracking to your hotel door

  1. Live flight tracking: Using the flight number you gave when booking, your driver follows your plane's actual landing time on live flight radar.
  2. Baggage claim and exit gate: You collect your luggage and walk to the arrivals exit. Waiting is free for up to 60 minutes from the actual landing time.
  3. Meet & greet with a name sign: At the exit, your driver meets you with a sign showing your name and carries your suitcases to the vehicle.
  4. Direct, door-to-door ride: The vehicle is reserved for your group only; no other passengers are picked up and no stops are made at other hotels. You go straight to your hotel lobby, your villa or the marina gate.

What should you prepare before your flight?

In the search form, you enter the pickup and drop-off points, the date, the time and the number of passengers; the form offers 1–6 passengers and a "7+ passengers (Vip Sprinter)" option. You then choose the vehicle class and confirm with your contact details; a booking confirmation (voucher) is sent to you by email or WhatsApp. Our website is available in Turkish, English, German, French, Russian, Polish, Chinese and Japanese.

Before boarding the plane, keep the following to hand:

  • Your flight number: The form asks for it on airport pickups; flight tracking is done with this number.
  • Your booking reference: You quote this number when reporting a change or cancellation.
  • The full address of your hotel, villa or marina: For hillside villas and marinas, an exact location makes things easier.
  • Your child seat request: European safety-certified, sanitised baby capsules, toddler seats and booster cushions are free of charge on airport transfers. You request them when booking or via WhatsApp; the seat is fitted in the vehicle before you arrive.
  • Support number: +90 553 537 33 61. On this line, you can reach us 24/7 by WhatsApp and phone in Turkish, English, German, French or Russian.

You can book up to 2 hours before pickup; in peak season, we recommend booking 24–48 hours in advance.

Which terminal will you land at in Dalaman?

Dalaman Airport has two terminals: the International Terminal and the Domestic Terminal. On our transfer page, both meeting points are shown with a link you can open in Google Maps.

On international flights, the order is passport control, baggage claim and customs; then you walk to the arrivals exit. On domestic flights, there is no passport control; you collect your luggage and go straight to the arrivals exit of the Domestic Terminal.

If your plane lands at the Domestic Terminal instead of the International Terminal (or the other way round), the flight tracking system notifies the driver of the change instantly. Your driver is redirected to the baggage hall exit of the correct terminal at no extra charge.

How do you meet your driver, and what should you do if you can't find them?

Before your plane lands, the following details are sent to you by WhatsApp:

  • Your driver's phone number
  • The vehicle's licence plate
  • The exact meeting point

At the exit, look for the Vixride sign showing your name; your driver carries your suitcases to the vehicle.

If you can't see your driver in the crowd:

  • Message or call +90 553 537 33 61 on WhatsApp; the 24/7 operations desk will connect you with your driver.
  • In the meantime, don't move away from the arrivals exit.

How do delays, waiting time and the "No Show" rule work?

  • No need to report a delay: Even if the delay runs to several hours, the price doesn't change and you don't need to message us.
  • Only let us know in these cases: If your flight is cancelled or postponed to another day, or if your flight number changes, let us know via WhatsApp.
  • 60 minutes of free waiting: The time starts not from the scheduled time but from the actual landing time; it is enough for passport control and baggage claim.
  • No Show: If you don't come to the exit within 60 minutes, this counts as a "No Show" and the driver may leave; no charge is made.

Havas and Muttas bus, taxi or private transfer: which suits you best?

Havas and Muttas buses depart from the terminal exit according to flight arrivals and require no booking. These are the fares per person, checked in September 2026:

Route Fare per person Journey time
Airport – Fethiye ₺300 About 60 minutes
Airport – Marmaris ₺420 About 90 minutes
Airport – Gocek ₺220 About 30 minutes
Airport – Ortaca ₺220 About 20 minutes
Airport – Koycegiz ₺270 Not specified

The bus fare is per person, while the private transfer price is per vehicle; everyone in the vehicle is included in the price you see when booking. For a family of 3–4, the total bus fare can exceed the cost of a private transfer. Other disadvantages of the bus:

  • It is a 45–50-seat bus; there is no meet & greet with a name sign and no child seat.
  • It only drops off at central bus stations such as Fethiye, Marmaris and Gocek; afterwards, you have to take a taxi on from there or walk with your suitcases.
  • If your plane is delayed, you may have to wait up to 60 minutes for the next bus. For current timetables, see www.havas.net.

The yellow airport taxi goes door to door, but there is no meet & greet with a name sign. Because it runs on a taximeter, the price is uncertain; extra toll and congestion charges may apply, the driver chooses the route, and queues are long at peak hours. A compact sedan has limited space for 3–4 passengers with large suitcases, and there is no child seat.

Choosing a vehicle: families, groups, golf bags and sailing luggage

Choose the vehicle class according to the number of passengers and large suitcases:

Vehicle Passengers Large suitcases Who is it suitable for?
Economy Sedan (Mercedes E-Class) Up to 3 Up to 2 Couples, small families travelling light
FirstClass Van (Mercedes Vito) Up to 6 Up to 6 Families, travellers with golf bags, pushchairs or wheelchairs
Vip Sprinter (Mercedes Sprinter) Up to 16 Up to 16 Groups of 7 or more, groups with golf bags or pushchairs
  • The number of suitcases matters as much as the number of passengers: If three people arrive with three large suitcases, the Economy Sedan's 2-suitcase limit is exceeded; choose the FirstClass Van.
  • Golf bags, pushchairs and foldable wheelchairs: These fit in the FirstClass Van and the Vip Sprinter; this option is not specified for the Economy Sedan.
  • Sailing luggage: The driver helps you carry it at the marina. We have no separate capacity rule for sailing bags; our recommendation is to count bulky bags as large suitcases as a precaution.

All vehicles have leather seats, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and USB charging ports; the vehicles are sanitised regularly and complimentary water is provided on every transfer.

Price, payment, cancellation and after arrival

  • Fixed price: The price is per vehicle and is shown when you book. Motorway, bridge, tunnel (Gocek Tunnel) and airport parking fees are included; there is no taximeter, no night surcharge, no luggage fee and no extra charge for traffic or flight delays.
  • Payment in the vehicle: Nothing is charged in advance. On the day of the transfer, you pay the driver at the end of the journey in cash (euros, dollars, pounds sterling or Turkish lira) or by credit or debit card. If you are not satisfied with the service, you can choose not to pay the fare.
  • Cancellation and changes: These are always free of charge; as nothing is paid in advance, there is nothing to refund either. We kindly ask you to let us know via WhatsApp, quoting your booking reference, at least 24 hours in advance so that the vehicle can be reassigned; this is not a deadline, just a request.
  • Return transfers and other airports: Vixride operates in both directions; you can book your return transfer to the airport from your hotel, villa or any address in the same way. Since 2021, we have been operating at 8 airports in Turkey and North Cyprus (IST, SAW, AYT, GZP, ADB, BJV, DLM, ECN).
  • Hourly chauffeur after arrival: You can hire a car with a driver who picks you up from your hotel, stays with you all day and waits at every stop. There are packages of 2–10 hours for day trips, shopping or dinner; this service is featured on our hotel pages for Fethiye, Oludeniz, Gocek, Marmaris, Icmeler, Sarigerme, Dalyan, Kas, Kalkan and Datca.

Vixride is a travel agency holding TÜRSAB licence no. 14798. Transfers in Turkey are carried out under a D2 authorisation certificate from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, drivers hold an SRC certificate of professional competence, and drivers and vehicles are fully authorised and insured.

Step-by-step worked examples

The times below are for illustration only; the time spent at the airport differs on every flight.

Example 1: A family heading to Hisaronu on a summer Saturday. Two adults and two children aged 4 and 9 land in Dalaman on a Saturday in July, with 4 suitcases and a pushchair.

  1. Booking: Because it is peak season, they book a FirstClass Van a few days in advance; the vehicle takes 6 passengers and 6 suitcases, and the pushchair fits too. They request a toddler seat and a booster cushion.
  2. Delay: The plane, scheduled to land at 14:30, lands at 15:10. The family doesn't report the delay; the driver is already tracking the flight.
  3. Waiting: The free waiting time starts at 15:10, so the family can reach the exit by 16:10. In this example, the family reaches the exit at around 16:00 and stays within the free waiting time.
  4. The drive: The vehicle goes through the Gocek Tunnel. After a journey of about 60 minutes, the family is in Hisaronu at around 17:00; the evening traffic in Fethiye may make the journey slightly longer.
  5. Arrival and payment: The driver drops the family off in front of the hotel; the family pays the fixed amount by card in the vehicle. Had they chosen the bus, they would have paid the per-person fare, 4 × ₺300 = ₺1,200, changed buses at Fethiye bus station and had to carry the suitcases and pushchair all over again.

Example 2: A sailing group heading to D-Marin Gocek at midnight. Five friends are coming to Gocek to charter a gulet; they have 5 suitcases and 3 bulky sailing bags.

  1. Vehicle: As a precaution, they count the sailing bags as large suitcases too; this makes 8 pieces in total, exceeding the FirstClass Van's 6-suitcase limit. So they choose the Vip Sprinter and enter the name of the marina as the drop-off address.
  2. Terminal change: The plane, scheduled to land at 23:40, lands at 00:25 and at a different terminal from the one expected. The flight tracking system redirects the driver to the correct terminal's exit; there is no extra charge.
  3. Waiting: The free waiting time starts at 00:25 and lasts until 01:25. In this example, the group meets the driver at the exit at around 01:05.
  4. The drive: The road to Gocek takes about 25 minutes in normal traffic; the group is at the pontoon gate at around 01:30, and the driver helps carry the sailing luggage.
  5. Payment: No night surcharge applies; the group pays the fixed amount from the booking in cash, in euros. The bus, by contrast, would have dropped them only at Gocek bus station, not at the marina.

Example 3: A couple heading to Datca after a three-hour delay. Two people with 2 large suitcases are going to their hotel in Datca.

  1. Vehicle: For 2 passengers and 2 suitcases, the Economy Sedan is enough.
  2. Delay: The plane lands at 21:00 instead of 18:00. The couple doesn't send a message; as the flight number hasn't changed, the driver waits according to the new time and the price doesn't change.
  3. The drive: Let's assume the couple sets off at around 21:35; with a 165 km journey of about 145 minutes, they are in Datca at around midnight in normal traffic.
  4. Comparison: Datca is not in the bus table; the nearest option is the Marmaris route. They would have paid 2 × ₺420 = ₺840 and then had to find a separate vehicle onwards from Marmaris bus station.

Arrival-day checklist

  2. Confirm your child seat request and check that you have chosen the right vehicle class for a golf bag or pushchair.

  4. Save the number +90 553 537 33 61 on your phone.
  5. After landing, turn off flight mode and check the driver's phone number, licence plate and meeting point sent to you on WhatsApp.

  7. If you can't find your driver, message or call the support line without moving away from the exit.
