About Diamond Excellence Resort & Spa
Until it took its present name, Diamond Excellence Resort & Spa was Crystal Palace Luxury Resort & Spa. The five-star all-inclusive resort lies on the coast west of Side, on the beach strip between Gündoğdu and Çolaklı, and its postal address is No:271 in the Muhtemet ve Peri Küme Evleri part of Çolaklı Mahallesi, Manavgat. It sits directly on its own sandy beach, a gently shelving stretch of about 190 m, and the centre of Side is about 12 km away.
From Antalya Airport the car heads east on the D400 coastal highway, leaving Aksu, the Belek turn-offs and Serik behind, and crosses the Köprüçay bridge beside the Aspendos junction. It leaves the highway between Gündoğdu and Çolaklı, well before Side and Manavgat, and a local road then runs south to the coast and the hotel on the beach.
Built in 2011, the resort has 509 rooms spread over five buildings, the main block rising to four floors. Its outdoor pool has water slides that run at set hours, and a heated indoor pool is open roughly from November to March. Beside the buffet restaurant there are five à la carte restaurants, serving Italian, Asian, Mexican and Turkish food as well as fish and seafood. The kids club looks after children aged 4 to 12, and the spa, which includes a hammam, is charged separately.
