Bodrum Chauffeur Hire by the Hour: Prices, Packages and 5 Day Plans
Short answer: Chauffeur hire in Bodrum costs €40 per hour in a Mercedes E-Class (up to 3 passengers), €50 in a Mercedes Vito (up to 6) and €75 in a Mercedes Sprinter (up to 16). Packages run from 2 to 10 hours with 20 km included per hour; the shortest is 2 hours / 40 km for €80. The price is per vehicle, not per person, and the driver waits at every stop.
- Hourly rate: Economy Sedan €40 · FirstClass Van €50 · Vip Sprinter €75
- Packages: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 or 10 hours
- Kilometres: 20 km per hour of the package (2 hours = 40 km, 10 hours = 200 km)
- Pickup: any hotel, villa, marina or address on the Bodrum peninsula
- Included: fuel, tolls, parking, bottled water and waiting at every stop
- Payment: nothing in advance; pay the driver in cash or by card, free cancellation (please let us know at least 24 hours in advance)
The Bodrum peninsula is small on the map but slow on the ground. Its villages sit in separate bays: Gümbet, Bitez, Ortakent, Turgutreis and Akyarlar on the south coast facing the Greek island of Kos, Torba, Türkbükü, Gündoğan and Yalıkavak on the north coast. In July and August every popular bay has more cars than parking spaces.
When does an hourly chauffeur beat a taxi or a rental car?
Taxi: fine for one ride from your hotel to the castle. For a day of bay-hopping every leg is metered on its own, and late at night in Gümüşlük or Türkbükü you can wait a long time for a taxi back.
Rental car: cheap per day, less so once you add fuel, a deposit and summer parking. In Yalıkavak and Türkbükü parking is scarce and often valet-only, and Gümüşlük's waterfront is closed to cars. With a driver you are dropped at the door, and nobody has to stay sober for the drive home after dinner by the sea.
One-way transfer: if you only need A to B, hourly hire is the wrong product. Milas-Bodrum Airport (BJV) is 36 km from Bodrum centre, and a fixed Bodrum Airport transfer costs from €50 per vehicle to the centre or Gümbet and from €55 to Yalıkavak or Turgutreis, with a name sign and 60 minutes of free waiting. Our Bodrum Airport arrival guide explains what happens after landing.
How much does chauffeur hire in Bodrum cost?
The formula is simple: hours × hourly rate of the vehicle, with 20 km added per hour. Prices as of October 2026, per vehicle, with fuel and parking included.
| Package | Economy Sedan (up to 3) | FirstClass Van (up to 6) | Vip Sprinter (up to 16) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 hours / 40 km | €80 | €100 | €150 |
| 3 hours / 60 km | €120 | €150 | €225 |
| 4 hours / 80 km | €160 | €200 | €300 |
| 5 hours / 100 km | €200 | €250 | €375 |
| 6 hours / 120 km | €240 | €300 | €450 |
| 8 hours / 160 km | €320 | €400 | €600 |
| 10 hours / 200 km | €400 | €500 | €750 |
Per person in a full vehicle: six friends sharing the FirstClass Van for 8 hours pay €400, about €67 each. A villa group of sixteen in the Vip Sprinter pays €600 for 8 hours, €37.50 per person, or €450 for 6 hours, about €28 each. A couple in the sedan pays €80 each for a 4-hour half day. Baby and child seats cost €5 each on hourly hire.
Which package do you need for your plan?
Choose by the hours you want to be out and the kilometres of the whole loop, including the drive back. Most of the peninsula lies within 25 km of the town centre, so in Bodrum the hours usually run out long before the kilometres.
| Place | One way from Bodrum centre | Suggested package |
|---|---|---|
| Bodrum Castle | ≈ 1 km | 2 hours / 40 km |
| Mausoleum at Halicarnassus | ≈ 1 km | 2 hours / 40 km |
| Bodrum Marina | ≈ 1 km | 2 hours / 40 km |
| Gümbet Beach | ≈ 3 km | 2 hours / 40 km |
| Bitez Beach | ≈ 6 km | 2 hours / 40 km |
| Türkbükü Bay | ≈ 15 km | 2 hours / 40 km |
| Yalıkavak Marina | ≈ 19 km | 2 hours / 40 km |
| Turgutreis Marina | ≈ 21 km | 3 hours / 60 km |
Road distances are approximate; the suggested package covers the round trip and about an hour on site. If you are staying in Turgutreis or Yalıkavak rather than in town, count from your hotel: Turgutreis to the castle and back is already a 3-hour plan.
Five example day plans with realistic hours
1. Bodrum town in a morning: 4 hours / 80 km
Start at 09:00, before the heat and the crowds. The Castle of St Peter, built by the Knights of St John in the 15th century partly with stones from the ruined Mausoleum, needs about two hours with its Museum of Underwater Archaeology and the Uluburun wreck finds; expect many steps and little shade. Then the Mausoleum (45 minutes), the ancient theatre for the view over the bay and the windmills on the ridge towards Gümbet. In Bodrum centre the driver drops you at each gate instead of circling for a space. Cost: €160 by sedan, €200 by van.
2. Yalıkavak and the Gümüşlük sunset: 6 hours / 120 km
Leave at 16:00. Spend an hour on the quays of Palmarina in Yalıkavak, then continue to Gümüşlük, the fishing village built over ancient Myndos. If the sea is calm, wade across the shallow strait to Rabbit Island, then take a table at the water's edge for sunset and fish. The driver waits through dinner and you are back around 22:00. Cost: €240 by sedan, €300 by van.
3. The north-coast bays: 5 hours / 100 km
Cross the hill to Torba, continue to the wooden piers and beach clubs of Türkbükü for a swim in its calm water, and have lunch in Gündoğan, quieter and more local. A quick look at Türkbükü alone fits 2 hours / 40 km. If you plan to spend the whole day at one beach club, a transfer there and back is cheaper than keeping a car waiting.
4. A villa group on the south-west coast: 6 hours / 120 km
A plan for the Vip Sprinter: Turgutreis marina in the morning (on Saturdays the town holds a large weekly market), then the sandy beaches around Akyarlar and Kadıkale for a long swim and lunch, and the sunset from the coast road on the way back. For sixteen people: €450, about €28 each.
5. Beyond the peninsula: use a fixed tour
Ephesus, Didyma or Pamukkale are too far for the 200 km of the 10-hour package. Our private tours have a fixed price per vehicle with no kilometre count: Didyma, Miletus and Priene and Ephesus and Şirince start from €320, Pamukkale from €580. From Bodrum the longer drive calls for the 12-hour package; each tour page shows the price for your pickup. Close to home, the Bodrum Peninsula Tour covers the castle, the Mausoleum, Gümüşlük and Yalıkavak in 6 hours from €320, and a licensed guide can be added.
To book any of these plans, enter your hotel or villa as pickup on our Bodrum chauffeur hire page and pick the package.
Practical tips: traffic, parking, seasons and sunsets
- Traffic: in July and August the roads towards Yalıkavak, Gümüşlük and Turgutreis are slow in the early evening, when everyone heads out for sunset. Leave 30 minutes earlier than you think.
- Parking: Yalıkavak, Türkbükü and Gümüşlük are the hardest places to park in summer. Agree a pick-up point with the driver.
- Seasons: the beach season runs from June to September; May and October are ideal for sightseeing. Many beach clubs in Türkbükü and Yalıkavak open only from late spring to early autumn.
- Opening hours: museum hours change by season; check the Ministry of Culture site (muze.gov.tr) or the Museum Pass before you go.
How to book and how the day works
- Choose the package and the vehicle by group size: up to 3, 6 or 16 passengers.
- Enter your hotel, villa or marina as pickup, the date, the start time and any child seats.
- Nothing is paid online. Changes and cancellation are free; please let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
- The driver arrives in the Mercedes at the agreed time, with water on board.
- You decide the stops; the driver waits at each one and adapts the route within your hours and kilometres.
- At the end you pay the fixed price to the driver, in cash or by card.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a chauffeur cost per hour in Bodrum?
€40 per hour for the Economy Sedan, €50 for the FirstClass Van and €75 for the Vip Sprinter. Packages run from 2 to 10 hours, so a 4-hour half day costs €160, €200 or €300 depending on the vehicle. The price is per vehicle, not per person.
How many kilometres are included?
20 km per hour: 40 km with 2 hours, 80 km with 4 hours, 160 km with 8 hours and 200 km with 10 hours. On the Bodrum peninsula this is rarely the limit, because most bays lie within 25 km of the town centre.
Which package do I need for a Gümüşlük sunset dinner?
From Bodrum, Gümbet or Bitez, 6 hours / 120 km is comfortable: an hour in Yalıkavak on the way, sunset and dinner in Gümüşlük and the drive back. If you skip Yalıkavak and keep dinner short, 5 hours / 100 km is enough.
Can I use hourly hire for a day trip to Ephesus?
Not really: Ephesus is too far for the 200 km included in the 10-hour package. Book the private Ephesus and Şirince tour instead. It has a fixed price per vehicle from €320 and picks you up at your Bodrum hotel; from Bodrum the 12-hour package is recommended.
Do we have to pay in advance?
No. Nothing is paid when you book. You pay the driver at the end of the day in cash or by card, and you can cancel or change the booking free of charge; please let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
