St Hilarion Castle
Byzantine castle, later a Lusignan royal residence, climbing over the rocky peaks of the Kyrenia range at around 730 m. The walk up to the upper ward is steep, but the view over Kyrenia and the coast is one of the finest in North Cyprus.

Kyrenia Castle & Shipwreck Museum
Venetian fortress built around a Byzantine castle at the harbour entrance. Inside, the Shipwreck Museum displays the hull of a Greek merchant ship that sank off Kyrenia around 300 BC, one of the oldest ever raised from the sea.
