It is the five-star Istanbul hotel of the Barceló group, and by its own figures the Taksim metro station is about 450 m away and Sirkeci railway station, across the Golden Horn in the old city, about 3.2 km.
Istanbul Airport is on the same side of the Bosphorus as Taksim, so the drive involves no bridge: the airport motorway runs south past Göktürk and Kemerburgaz towards the city centre, and the last part threads through Beyoğlu to Abdülhak Hamit Caddesi, just north-west of Taksim Square. The street is open to traffic, so the car can pull up at the entrance.
There are 273 rooms and suites.
