Best Izmir Airport transfer 2026: options and prices compared
Written by Vixride. We are a transfer company and one of the options on this page. Details about other companies come from their own public websites and help pages, checked on 19 October 2026. Prices and terms can change, so confirm them before you book.
There is no single best transfer for everyone. From Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB) the İZBAN suburban train and Havaş buses are the cheapest way into the city, but they do not take you to the door of hotels and villas in Çeşme, Alaçatı, Urla or Kuşadası. For those a pre-booked private transfer with a fixed price per vehicle is the most predictable: with Vixride from €28 to the city centre, €70 to Alaçatı, €55 to Çeşme and €55 to Kuşadası, paid to the driver, with free cancellation (please let us know at least 24 hours in advance). Booking platforms suit you if you prefer to prepay online; the taxi runs on the meter.
Why book Vixride at Izmir Airport (ADB)
- A fixed price on the long drives: Çeşme is 88 km and Alaçatı 84 km from the airport. With Vixride the price per vehicle is set when you book and does not change with traffic or the route taken: from €55 and €70.
- To the door of villas and boutique hotels in Alaçatı, Urla and Çeşme, including narrow streets that buses and shared shuttles skip; give the exact address or a map pin when booking.
- Both terminals: the driver follows your flight number, waits at the International or Domestic exit and includes 60 minutes of free waiting after the actual landing.
- Kuşadası and Ephesus without changing buses: from €55 to Kuşadası and €50 to Selçuk.
- One price for the whole group: FirstClass Van (Mercedes Vito) for up to 6 and Vip Sprinter for up to 16 passengers, priced per vehicle, not per person.
- On 7 of the 8 routes in the price table below, the Vixride fixed price per vehicle is lower than even the low end of the taxi meter estimate.

Vixride: Economy Sedan (Mercedes E-Class, up to 3 passengers). FirstClass Van (Mercedes Vito, up to 6) and Vip Sprinter (up to 16) are priced on each route page. Included: motorway and parking fees, 60 minutes of waiting after landing, child seats.
*Estimate from the official taximeter tariff for Izmir: opening fee 40 TL + 54 TL per km (tariff since 30 April 2026); upper figure +20% for slow traffic and waiting; converted at €1 = 55.21 TL (Central Bank of Turkey, 9 October 2026); €10 added to both figures to match fares charged at the airport in practice. The real meter fare depends on traffic and the route taken.
Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport has separate International and Domestic terminals. With a connection in Istanbul you usually land at the Domestic Terminal. With your flight number the driver follows the actual landing and waits at the right exit with a name sign.
How to choose a transfer company (checklist)
- Licence: in Turkey a travel agency needs a TÜRSAB licence and passenger transport a D2 authorisation from the Ministry of Transport. Ask for the numbers.
- Who drives: does the company run its own vehicles, or does a platform pass your booking to a local partner?
- Price per vehicle or per person, and what is included: tolls, waiting time for delayed flights, child seats, night rides.
- Payment and cancellation: when you pay (online in advance or to the driver) and until when you can cancel for free.
- Meeting point: where the driver waits (arrivals exit, name sign) and how long, and what happens if you land at another terminal.
- Recent reviews on independent sites (Google, TripAdvisor), not only on the company's own website.
What Vixride offers (and where we are not the best fit)
- TÜRSAB-licensed travel agency (no. 14798) with a D2 authorisation; SRC-certified drivers, insured vehicles.
- Own Mercedes fleet: Economy Sedan (E-Class, up to 3), FirstClass Van (Vito, up to 6), Vip Sprinter (up to 16); 20 Vito vans at each of our 10 airports.
- Fixed price per vehicle, shown before booking; tolls, waiting for delayed flights and child seats are included.
- No prepayment: pay the driver on the day in cash (EUR, USD, GBP, TRY) or by card. Free cancellation; please let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
- Flight tracking and 60 minutes of free waiting after the actual landing; the driver meets you at the arrivals exit with a name sign.
- If you are not satisfied with the service, you may choose not to pay the fare.
When another option is better
- You travel alone with light luggage and want the lowest price: the bus or a shared shuttle costs less. We only run private vehicles.
- You want to pay everything online in advance: we take payment on the day, so a booking platform suits you better.
- You land in less than 2 hours: online booking closes 2 hours before pickup, so take the official airport taxi.
- Your airport is not one of our 10 airports (IST, SAW, AYT, GZP, ADB, BJV, DLM, ASR, NAV, ECN).
