About Renaissance Istanbul Polat Bosphorus Hotel
On upper Barbaros Bulvarı, the boulevard that climbs from the Beşiktaş waterfront to the Zincirlikuyu business district, the Renaissance Istanbul Polat Bosphorus Hotel is a five-star tower at No:145, beside the Balmumcu bus stop. The nearest metro station is Gayrettepe, the Zincirlikuyu Metrobüs stop is close by, and Dolmabahçe Palace lies about 2.4 km to the south. Polat Holding runs the hotel under a franchise agreement with Marriott; when it opened in 2012 it was Marriott's ninth hotel in Turkey.
Istanbul Airport is on the same European side, so the transfer never crosses the Bosphorus. The airport road runs south past Göktürk, and the city motorways continue south-east through Kağıthane to Levent and Zincirlikuyu. At the Zincirlikuyu junction the car turns into Barbaros Bulvarı, a broad divided boulevard, and the hotel tower stands on it after a short stretch at Balmumcu.
It opened with 212 rooms and suites, the largest suites measuring 59 m², and keeps its Club Lounge on the 16th floor. Up on the roof are a heated indoor pool and the 212 Bar & Restaurant, which looks over the Bosphorus and serves à la carte lunch and dinner.
